This year Bhadra will reside on earth on the day of Raksha Bandhan, due to which tying Rakhi in Bhadra will not be auspicious. On the other hand, Shravan Purnima will end on August 31 at 07:07 am. But this year on August 30, Bhadra will remain for the whole day. It is inauspicious to tie Rakhi in Bhadra. In such a situation, Rakhi can be tied on August 30, 2023, after 09.03 minutes. On the other hand, on August 31, Rakhi can be tied before 07:00 in the morning.

Bhadra is the daughter of Lord Sun and sister of King Shani. Bhadra is also considered harsh in nature like her brother Shani Dev. 2. While tying rakhi, keep in mind that brother or sister should not face south. South direction is considered as the direction of Yama i.e. death. Working in this direction shortens the life span.
3. Sandalwood or roli can be used to apply Tilak to brother on the day of Rakhi. Do not use vermilion during this time because vermilion is considered a sign of honeymoon.
4. While worshiping brothers before Rakhi, keep in mind that the grains of Akshat should not be broken. 5. While performing brother’s aarti, keep one thing in mind that the lamp kept in the aarti plate should not be broken.
6. Use ghee lamp while performing brother’s aarti on this day. Negativity goes away by lighting a ghee lamp.
