Story of Govatsa Dwadashi
According to Guru Maa Nidhi Ji Shrimali, a long time ago, a moneylender lived in a village with his sons and photos. The moneylender had built a pond in the village but there was no water in the pond. He asked the Pandit to know the reason for not filling the pond. So the Pandit said to fill it with water, you will have to sacrifice your elder son or elder grandson. So the moneylender sent his daughter-in-law to Pehar and sacrificed his elder grandson after her. Meanwhile, there was heavy rain and the pond got filled. After this, when the rains came and all the women came to worship there because the pond was built, the moneylender also went there to worship there with his family. The moneylender asked the maid to cook wheat flour. The moneylender meant the donation of wheat but the maid did not understand this and cooked wheatla, which was the name of a cow’s calf. And on the same day, the elder son’s wife also came to Pehar to ask about the pond. After worshiping the pond, when she started loving her children, she asked about the elder son and the same elder son came out of the pond and said, love me too. Everyone was surprised to see this. The mother-in-law told the whole story to the daughter-in-law. And after the pond puja, when everyone reached home, they saw that the cow’s calf was not visible, so when they asked the maid, she said that she had cooked it. So the moneylender said, one thing has been solved now, you have committed another sin. The moneylender buried the cow’s calf in the soil and when the cow returned in the evening, she started searching for her own child and then the calf came out of the soil. And when the moneylender saw that the calf was drinking the cow’s milk. Then the moneylender spread the word throughout the village that a mother gets benefits by fasting for her son on the day of Bachh Baras. And this story fulfills everyone’s wishes as soon as they hear it told. Bachhbaras
