According to Guru Maa Nidhi Ji Shrimali, once Maa Parvati asks Bholenath that which mantra should be recited to remove all sins in Kaliyuga? Answering this question of Goddess Parvati, Lord Shiva says that when everything in the universe was finished in the holocaust, then by my command all the Vedas and scriptures were merged into Panchakshar. First of all, Shivji had given this mantra to Brahmaji with his five mouths. According to Guru Maa Nidhi Ji Shrimali, the sage of this mantra is Vamdev and Shiva himself is its deity. The five sounds of Namah Shivay represent the five elements present in the universe, from which the entire universe is made and merges into it at the time of doomsday.
