नामकरण संस्कार पूजा

सभी धर्मों में नामकरण संस्कार का विधान है। नामकरण संस्कार हिन्दू धर्म संस्कारों में पंचम संस्कार है।  हालांकि सनातन धर्म में इसका विशेष महत्व है। कहा जाता है कि बच्चे के नामकरण से बच्चे के संस्कारों का पता चलता है। यह संस्कार बच्चे में कर्म की प्रवृत्ति को जगाता है। यह संस्कार बालक के जन्म होने के दसवें दिन में कर लेना चाहिये। यदि किसी कारण से दसवें दिन यह संस्कार नहीं किया जाता है, तो तीन महीने या अगले वर्ष इसे करने का प्रावधान है।इसका कारण यह है कि पाराशर स्मृति के अनुसार जन्म के सूतक में ब्राह्मण दस दिन में, क्षत्रिय बारह दिन में, वैश्य पंद्रह दिन में और शूद्र एक मास में शुद्ध होता है। इस दिन पूजा के बाद बच्चे को शहद का स्वाद चखाया जाता है। नक्षत्र या राशियों के अनुसार नाम रखने से लाभ यह है कि इससे जन्मकुंडली बनाने में आसानी रहती है। नाम भी बहुत सुन्दर और अर्थपूर्ण रखना चाहिये।

आयुर्वेडभिवृद्धिश्च सिद्धिर्व्यवहतेस्तथा ।
नामकर्मफलं त्वेतत् समुद्दिष्टं मनीषिभिः ।।

अर्थात् नामकरण-संस्कार से आयु तथा तेज़ की वृद्धि होती है एवं लौकिक व्यवहार में नाम की प्रसिद्धि से व्यक्ति का अलग अस्तित्तव बनता है।

अतः अशौच बीतने पर ही नामकरण-संस्कार करना चाहिये, क्योंकि नाम के साथ मनुष्य का घनिष्ठ सम्बन्ध रहता है। नाम प्रायः दो होते हैं- एक गुप्त नाम दूसरा प्रचलित नाम।

• इस संस्कार में बच्चे को शहद चटाकर शालीनतापूर्वक मधुर भाषण कर, सूर्यदर्शन कराया जाता है और कामना की जाती है की बच्चा सूर्य की प्रखरता-तेजस्विता धारण करे, इसके साथ ही भूमि को नमन कर देवसंस्कृति के प्रति श्रद्धापूर्वक समर्पण किया जाता है। शिशु का नया नाम लेकर सबके द्वारा उसके चिरंजीवी, धर्मशील, स्वस्थ एवं समृद्ध होने की कामना की जाती है।
• भारतीय चिंतन के अनुसार आत्मा अजर-अमर है। शरीर नष्ट होता है, कितुं जीवात्मा के संचित संस्कार उसके साथ लगे रहते हैं। बालक किस समय, किस नक्षत्र, राशि आदि में उत्पन्न हुआ, यह सब एक निश्चित विधान के अनुसार होता है। घर का पुरोहित या पंडित बालक के जन्म-नक्षत्र, ग्रह, राशि आदि के अनुसार बालक के नामकरण करता है। वाल्मीकि रामायण में वर्णित है कि श्री राम आदि चार भाइयों का नामकरण महर्षि गर्ग द्वारा श्री कृष्ण का नामकरण उनके गुण-धर्मों के आधार पर करने का उल्लेख है।
• नामकरण के तीन आधार माने गए हैं। पहला, जिस नक्षत्र में शिशु का जन्म होता है, उस नक्षत्र की पहचान रहे। इसलिए नाम नक्षत्र के लिए नियत अक्षर से शुरू होना चाहिए, ताकि नाम से जन्म नक्षत्र का पता चले और ज्योतिषीय राशिफल भी समझा जा सकें। दूसरा, मूलरुप से नामों की वैज्ञानिकता बनें और तीसरा यह की नाम से उसके जातिनाम, वंश, गौत्र आदि की जानकारी हो जाए।
