Story from the origin of Rudraksha
According to Guru Maa Nidhi Ji Shrimali, a demon named Tripurasura was proud of his power, due to which he started troubling the deities. No god or sage could stand in front of Tripurasura. Distressed, Brahma, Vishnu and other deities went to Lord Shiva with a prayer to end Tripurasura’s terror. When Mahadev heard this request of the gods, he closed his eyes in yoga posture. After a while Lord Shiva opened his eyes and tears fell on the earth. It is believed that wherever the tears of Lord Shiva fell, Rudraksha trees grew there. Rudraksha means the third eye of Shiva.
