Importance of Chinnamasta Mahavidya
Goddess Chinnamasta helps in the activation of the Manipur Chakra in the Human body. When the Chakra is activated white smoke is emitted and a lotus and a triangle emerge. The images of Rati and manmade are also brought in front of it. Manmata has his back on the white lotus and Rati is positioned just above him. The image also shows Chinnamasta standing on the chest of Manmata. She has a head in her hand and three showers of blood. One shower of the blood is directed towards her friend Dakini, the other is for Varnini, and the third one is green and yellowish, and is gaseous in nature. She is considered as the Yogi of the finest order because she has great self-control. She is also known as a pure Yogini. The Significance of Qualities of Chinnamasta
Goddess Chinnamasta teaches us that, we should get free of all false identifications and emotions. She also teaches us to be fearless, forget self-pity, and also forget the pain of death. She also teaches us to be free from ego and false designations. She is wearing a garland of skulls and a necklace of bones around her neck. She ties the snake to her neck like a sacred thread. There are thunder and lightning everywhere. She is in a state of Amansaka (not dead). Also, she is free of all human emotions and characteristics.
Shrimali ji says the Chinnamasta Yantra should be established at home or at pooja sthal early in the morning after bathing and without eating anything. A fast should be observed by the devotee until all the rituals are completed. A Dhawan should be organized with Ahutis with Fruits, Pushpanjali, and Aarti. After the completion of the pooja, the Prasad should be distributed among the family members to receive blessings from the Goddess. Chinnamasta is deity who controls this Yantra. This Yantra can also be used against the ill effects of Rahu. Goddess Chinnmasta is generally shown to be standing on the body of the God of Love.
