पन्ना रत्न गहरे हरे रंग का होता है। बुध ग्रह की पीड़ा शांत करने के लिए पन्ना धारण करने की सलाह दी जाती है। इसे मरकत मणि, हरितमणि, एमराल्ड, पांचू आदि नामों से जाना जाता है। हीरा और नीलम के बाद इसे तीसरा सबसे खूबसूरत रत्न कहा जाता है। पन्ना बेहद कीमती होता है।

पन्ना बुध ग्रह का रत्न है। इसे अनेक नामों से जाना जाता है जैसे संस्कृत में मरकत मणि, फारसी में जमरन, हिन्दी में पन्ना और अँग्रेजी में एमराल्ड। यह गहरे से हल्के हरे रंग का होता है। यह अधिकतर दक्षिण महानदी, हिमालय, गिरनार और सोम नदी के पास पाया जाता है। इस रत्न को धारण करने वाला सौभाग्यशाली होता है।

पन्ना मुख्यतः पाँच रंगों में पाया जाता है। तोते के पंख के समान रंग वाला, पानी के रंग जैसा, सरेस के पुष्प के रंगों वाला, मयूरपंख जैसा और हल्के संदुल पुष्प के समान होता है। पन्ना अत्यंत नरम पत्थर होता है तथा अत्यंत मूल्यवान पत्थरों में से एक है। रंग, रूप, चमक, वजन, पारदर्शिता के अनुसार इसका मूल्य निर्धारित होता है।
