Description
Maha Laxmi Yantra Pendant
Mahalakshmi is the Goddess of wealth, the provider of good fortune, abundance and prosperity. The word Lakshmi comes from the Sanskrit “lakshya” which means aim or purpose. Therefore, Lakshmi has the symbolism of knowing and understanding one’s goal. Mahalakshmi is the consort and active energy of Lord Vishnu, the Supreme Narayan and is endowed with the six divine strengths. When Lord Vishnu chose to incarnate on earth in the avatars of Rama and Krishna, Lakshmi accompanied him as his consort Sita and Rukmini respectively. In popular representation, Mahalakshmi is seated on a lotus and her four hands denote the four goals of human life – dharma, artha, kama and moksha. In popular literature, Lakshmi personifies wealth, riches, beauty, happiness, grace, charm and splendour.
According to a Hindu legend, when the universe was being created, Lakshmi sprang up from the foaming ocean that was being churned by gods and demons (Samudra Manthan) alongside other treasures. She carried a lotus in her hand and is therefore called Padma Lakshmi. According to the Saubhagya Lakshmi Upanishad, Mahalakshmi is the divine giver of boons, the bestower of wealth has a golden form, and is adorned with a garland of gold. She has a golden sheen and dwells within a lotus symbolising purity. Mahalakshmi Yantra is a sacred geometry symbolising Goddess Lakshmi and it carries her divine vibrations. Sri Lakshmi Yantra is worshipped by people for attracting prosperity and abundance and for the fulfilment of material desires.
Mandalas or Yantras are geometric representations of different Mantras that are uttered during worship. Having a Yantra while praying makes the power of worship even more intense, which results in the effect of the prayer and Mantra being magnified. It is possible to reach out to Deities much faster with the proper usage of a Yantra.
Yantras are of different kinds. They may be chosen according to a specific purpose, or a specific Deity, or to combat a particular problem, according to the native’s horoscope and the ruling planet, and so on. It is important that one believes in the Yantra and has full faith for it to work and successfully answer one’s prayers.
How to Establish the Yantra?
Some particular guidelines need to be followed to establish a Yantra properly and to avail optimum benefits from it. The Shree Mahalaxmi Yantra must be purified and energized sufficiently by Pooja to get proper results. While establishing the Yantra, the native should have a purified body and positive thoughts in his mind. Prior to Pooja, it has to be purified by using holy water or Gangajal; rose water, milk and water would do as well. The Yantra should be wiped dry with a clean cloth after this and placed on an Aasana. The colour yellow is preferred as the Goddess Mahalaxmi is covered in gold. The Yantra should be placed in such a way that it faces north or east. The Shree Mahalaxmi Yantra may be placed on the altar of the house, at home, or in the office.
