Maa Saraswati is worshipped as the goddess of knowledge. Vasant Panchami or Sripanchami is a Hindu festival. Maa Saraswati had appeared from the mouth of Brahmaji on the fifth day of Shukla Paksha of Magh month and hence the festival of Vasant Panchami is celebrated on this date. How to do Saraswati Puja:

• While performing Saraswati Puja, first of all, the idol or picture of Saraswati Mata should be kept in front.
• While worshipping, first of all, make them shaman and bathe. After this, offer flowers and garland to the mother.
• Saraswati Mata should also be offered vermilion and other makeup items.
• Wear white clothes and then offer flowers and garlands to the mother.

Havan for Saraswati Puja

After worshipping Saraswati, a havan should be performed in the name of Goddess Saraswati. For the Havan, a mark should be made on the Havan Kund or the ground by measuring a quarter of a hand on all four sides. Now clean this land with Kusha and make it holy by sprinkling Ganga water and performing Havan here. While performing Havan, Ganesh ji should do Havan in the name of Navagraha. After this, in the name of Saraswati Mata, ‘Om Shri Saraswatyai Namah Swaha’ should be done one hundred and eight times.

मां सरस्वती पूजा

मां सरस्वती को ज्ञान की देवी के रूप में पूजा जाता है। वसंत पंचमी या श्रीपंचमी एक हिंदू त्योहार है। माघ मास के शुक्ल पक्ष की पंचमी तिथि को ब्रह्माजी के मुख से सरस्वती प्रकट हुई थीं इसलिए इस तिथि को वसंत पंचमी का पर्व मनाया जाता है। ऐसा माना जाता है कि देवी सरस्वती की पूजा करने से बुद्धि और ज्ञान की प्राप्ति होती है। इस दिन मां सरस्वती की पूजा की जाती है। देवी सरस्वती को ज्ञान की देवी भी कहा जाता है।

कैसे करें सरस्वती पूजा :

• सरस्वती पूजा करते समय सबसे पहले सरस्वती माता की मूर्ति या तस्वीर को सामने रखना चाहिए।
• पूजा करते समय सबसे पहले उन्हें शमन और स्नान कराएं। इसके बाद माता को फूल और माला अर्पित करें।
• सरस्वती माता को भी सिंदूर और अन्य श्रृंगार सामग्री का भोग लगाना चाहिए।
• सफेद वस्त्र धारण करें और फिर माता को पुष्प व माला अर्पित करें।
• देवी सरस्वती सफेद वस्त्र धारण करती हैं, इसलिए उन्हें सफेद वस्त्र पहनाएं।
• सरस्वती पूजा के अवसर पर मां सरस्वती को पीले रंग के फल चढ़ाएं।
• प्रसाद के रूप में मौसमी फलों के अलावा बूंदियां अर्पित करनी चाहिए | इस दिन सरस्वती माता को मालपुए और खीर का भी भोग लगाया जाता है | उसके बाद सरस्वती की पूजा करें और मन से मां का ध्यान करें।

सरस्वती पूजन के लिए हवन

सरस्वती पूजा करने बाद सरस्वती माता के नाम से हवन करना चाहिए. हवन के लिए हवन कुण्ड अथवा भूमि पर सवा हाथ चारों तरफ नापकर एक निशान बना लेना चाहिए. अब इस भूमि को कुशा से साफ करके गंगा जल छिड़ककर पवित्र करें और यहां पर हवन करें. हवन करते समय गणेश जी, नवग्रह के नाम से हवन करें. इसके बाद सरस्वती माता के नाम से ‘ओम श्री सरस्वत्यै नम: स्वहा” इस मंत्र से एक सौ आठ बार हवन करना चाहिए. हवन के बाद सरस्वती माता की आरती करें और हवन का भभूत लगाएं |

सरस्वती विसर्जन

माघ शुक्ल पंचमी के दिन सरस्वती की पूजा के बाद षष्ठी तिथि को सुबह माता सरस्वती की पूजा करने के बाद उनका विसर्जन कर देना चाहिए. संध्या काल में मूर्ति को प्रणाम करके जल में प्रवाहित कर देना चाहिए |

सरस्वती पूजन के पीछे पौराणिक कथा है. इनकी सबसे पहले पूजा श्रीकृष्ण और ब्रह्माजी ने ही की है | देवी सरस्वती ने जब श्रीकृष्ण को देखा, तो उनके रूप पर मोहित हो गईं और पति के रूप में पर मोहित हो गईं और पति के रूप में पाने की इच्छा करने लगीं | भगवान कृष्ण को इस बात का पता चलने पर उन्होंने कहा कि वे तो राधा के प्रति समर्पित हैं | परंतु सरस्वती को प्रसन्न करने के लिए श्रीकृष्ण ने वरदान दिया कि प्रत्येक विद्या की इच्छा रखने वाला माघ मास की शुक्ल पंचमी को तुम्हारा पूजन करेगा |  यह वरदान देने के बाद स्वयं श्रीकृष्ण ने पहले देवी की पूजा की |
