भूमि पूजा

भूमि को सारे जगत की माता, जगत का संरक्षक माना जाता है, इसलिए हिंदू शास्त्रों में भी धरती को माता का दर्जा दिया गया है। हम सब जानते हैं कि धरती से हमें जो मिलता है वह रहने के लिए घर है, खाने के लिए भोजन है, नदियाँ, झरने, गलियाँ, सड़कें सब धरती की छाती से होकर गुजरती हैं। इसलिए शास्त्रों में भूमि पर किसी भी कार्य के निर्माण से पूर्व भूमि पूजन का विधान है चाहे वह घर बनाना हो या सार्वजनिक भवन या सड़क बनाना हो। ऐसा माना जाता है कि भूमि की पूजा न करने से निर्माण कार्य में कई तरह की बाधाएं आती हैं।

क्यों करते हैं भूमि पूजा:-

जब भी किसी नई भूमि पर किसी भी प्रकार का निर्माण कार्य प्रारंभ किया जाता है तो उसके पूर्व उस भूमि की पूजा की जाती है, ऐसा माना जाता है कि यदि उस भूमि में किसी प्रकार का दोष है, या उस भूमि के स्वामी द्वारा जानबूझ कर कोई गलती की गई है या अनजाने में। यदि ऐसा हुआ है तो धरती माता की पूजा कर सभी प्रकार के दोषों को क्षमा करके धरती माता अपनी कृपा बरसाती है। कई बार जब कोई व्यक्ति जमीन खरीदता है, तो हो सकता है कि उक्त भूमि के पूर्व मालिक के गलत कार्यों के कारण भूमि अशुद्ध हो गई हो, इसलिए भूमि पूजन द्वारा इसे फिर से पवित्र किया जाता है। ऐसा माना जाता है कि यदि भूमि की पूजा की जाती है तो निर्माण कार्य सुचारू रूप से पूरा हो जाता है। निर्माण के दौरान या बाद में जीव की कोई हानि नहीं होती है और साथ ही साथ अन्य समस्याओं से मुक्ति मिलती है।

भूमि पूजन इसलिए भी आवश्यक है क्योंकि यदि भूमि से संबंधित कोई दोष हो तो पूजा के बाद उसका नाश हो जाता है और वह स्थान भवन निर्माण के लिए पवित्र हो जाता है। इतना ही नहीं भूमि पूजन के बाद भवन निर्माण का कार्य भी बखूबी पूरा होता है।

भूमि पूजन के समय नींव में रखा जाता है चांदी का सांप:-

• जिस भूमि पर निर्माण कार्य होता है, सबसे पहले उसे साफ किया जाता है।
• वास्तु शास्त्र के अनुसार, पृथ्वी के नीचे पाताल लोक है, जिसके स्वामी भगवान विष्णु के सेवक शेषनाग हैं। उसने पृथ्वी को अपने फन पर रखा है। भूमि पूजन के समय नींव में चांदी के सर्प की पूजा करने का उद्देश्य शेषनाग की कृपा प्राप्त करना है।
• सर्प को नींव में रखने से यह माना जाता है कि जिस प्रकार शेषनाग ने पृथ्वी की देखभाल की है, उसी प्रकार शेषनाग को भी अपने भवन की देखभाल करनी चाहिए। भवन सुरक्षित और दीर्घायु होगा।
• भूमि की पूजा में कलश रखने के पीछे भी यही आस्था और विश्वास काम करता है कि इससे भगवान शेषनाग की कृपा प्राप्त होगी। शास्त्रों के अनुसार क्षीर सागर में शेषनाग का वास होता है इसलिए कलश में दूध, दही, घी डालकर कलश में मंत्रों से शेषनाग का आह्वान किया जाता है जिससे शेषनाग को भगवान की सीधी कृपा प्राप्त होती है।
• माना जाता है कि कलश में सिक्का और सुपारी रखने से लक्ष्मी और गणेश की कृपा मिलती है। कलश को ब्रह्मांड का प्रतीक और विष्णु का रूप मानकर उनसे प्रार्थना की जाती है कि देवी लक्ष्मी इस भूमि में विराजमान रहें और शेषनाग हमेशा भूमि पर बने घर का समर्थन करें।
